A heterosexual couple who have been marriedfor twenty minutes has infinitely more rights and benefits than a same sex couple who have been together for twenty years.

Singaporeans are famous for buying brides from China, Vietnam and now Myammar.

Singaporeans are also famous for seeking the services of teen prostitutes in Batam young enough to be their grand-daughters.

Singapore is also famous for its variety of foreign prostitutes lining the streets of Geylang nightly.

How come our PAP Govt always insist that Singapore is such a conservative society ?

Talk about coincidence, there was an article in the ST re: the bar issue (‘Clubs have the right to exclusivity’, 8 June, Pg B8). Apparently an amputee was denied entrance to a bar, and the issue of discrimination was brought up. The editor (interestingly, male) writes “If one chooses to mistake this selectivity for discrimination, then one should also deem ladies’ night as an unwarranted form of gender bias.”

    To Alan Wong:

Because this encapsulates the hypocritical Victorian values (= so-called “Asian” values) of many in the nineteenth century. Public pronouncements and private behaviour were very different. It also objectifies women sexually, and treats wives as property.

By the way, how many traditionalist married men also have a string of mistresses…so promiscuous these heterosexuals.
