Deepest condolences to the family of Anthony Yeo.
I didn’t know him well, but our paths crossed a number of times, mostly at gay-related events. He struck me as a professional of principle, who believed strongly that in counselling, the interest and wishes of the subject must be paramount. He was also categorical that social pressure on gay and bisexual individuals to conform to heterosexual expectations was injurious to the person, and he often spoke out against such pressure and the ignorance that bred it.
Anthony, I understand, was highly regarded among his peers; his voice, his selfless commitment to others and his inspiration will be sorely missed.
