Tough getting elected if gay

Of course, we know that already, but here’s news from the Philippines, where Ang Ladlad has been denied accreditation; Houston, where an openly lesbian woman squeaked through to become mayor;  and on a much lighter note, from Britain where an election of a different kind took place. Full essay.

    It is hard because many of the voters have christian values

    Alex,

    You should run. Doesn’t matter which party you join, or start a GLBT party even. You will get 10% of the vote. That will make the ruling or other parties think twice before glossing over us.
